AU

I finally agreed/started my BA program!!!
yay for me.

This week class started on Tuesday, but I could see everything on friday.
By MONDAY all of my work for this week was done.
I actually did all the reading too
I love one of the books, it has really interesting perspectives and tons of quotes on the sides of the pages(I love quotes, need a new book full of them).
the other book is a normal text book but its fine.
ive talked online with people in the class and there are a lot of military people which is amazing to me.
there is even a cool tutor thing that i can chat live with someone, or just send questions, or send them my paper for them to proof it and what not.

its great....hopefully,
within a year(maybe less depending on how many credits transfer, how many classes i can test out of, and how many times I take 2 classes at once)

I may not enjoy school. but I will be happy to get the paper that says after all this time I actually accomplished something.

and so the last HOPEFULLY year of school begins!

one month

its been one month since i started.
I LOVE IT!!!!!
the kids are fun still,
parents are still great,
got rid of bottles,
going to the park,
lots of fun and laughs.

Henry has a few words,
up, this, cracker, ball, and truck (he is a boy)

Abbie has a few words,
up, this, cracker, ball, doggie, book

Abbies favorite thing is the swing, she would probably stay in it forever if we let her,
but she just loves anything where her feet come off the ground,
whether you flip her upside down, pick her up, just help her do a summer sault on the floor, let her fly on your knees
if her feet are off the ground she's happy.

henry's favorite thing is probably running around the island in the kitchen while being chased. he does it forever a lot ( it tires him out to).
he also loves that he now knows how to climb up the playset they have outside which is pretty impressive if you ask me.

I am hoping that in the near future we can start going to the park, daily, go for walks, switch to one nap ( henry only took 2 once this week), go to the library, join a playgroup, get rid of binks, and maybe check out the zoo or sensory time, or the museum in temecula.

the first month has been great!!!

an INVESTMENT property

so my dream home would be...
NOT in California
it would have a ton of land, like 20 acres
there would be at least 1 barn
there would be a wrap around porch
i want a log cabin(but that doesn't match the porch)
there would be a minimum 3 car garage
you get the idea...

but right now...
I am looking to make an investment...
I NEED
2 bedrooms
1 bathroom
and really thats it.

but I want
a little space
because...
I plan to get a puppy/dog and want them to be able to run around while I am at work all day
I want space between houses
I want a garage
I would like a third bedroom

but...
I also, need to have it fit in my budget, and really the sooner i find a place the better, because incase you were unaware, my car is a bit tired and isn't a huge fan of driving so far so often. I actually enjoy the drive, its very peaceful and my time for just me.

so do i settle for a place that is nice enough, but only has my minimum needs and NOTHING else?
or do I wait a bit longer and see if something better comes up?
its not like I have been seriously looking for very long. so it would make sense that some more choices would become availible, but this one is here now, and it is a fine little place.

what to do?

i got a job I love
I applied to a school for my BA
I enrolled in a class and got books for that class
I put money in the bank
I stopped having interviews every night
I am looking for houses
my life is finally coming togehter!!

Im very happy,
enjoying my days with twins,
enjoying my nights with Adam and friends
enjoying my weekends at races
enjoying looking for houses (okay maybe not enjoying but liking the idea of a house)
getting school situated is nice...
sooner I start sooner its over.
spending evenings with friends and their kids,
taking history tests with my cousin,
planning some vacations,
saving some money,

LIFE IS GOOD!!!!

why won't he just give in?

so....
henry, the adorable 18 month old little boy i am watching...
he is super cute he really is,
he will smile, and talk, and wow will he flirt,
he is a pretty good eater,
he doesn't get into to many things he shouldn't( other than the laptop)
he doesn't cry or whine to much,
he is incredibly curious and insists on knowing how everything works
he is really good in my opinion
however....
there is this little detail of a NAP!!!!!
he will lay in his bed forever and just not sleep,
how do I know...well he randomly every few minutes will make a little noise or something.
why?
why must he be so difficult at nap time?
on the plus side its not like he is unhappy, he is just AWAKE!!!
Abbie, is much better...
put her in bed, she is asleep within 5 minutes.
she does not sleep as long as Henry but she is cnosistent so at least i can know she is getting a nap.

soon enough we will switch them over to one nap a day, which won't be as cool for me because i will get bored with so much free time at once, but it will be better for them and at least i will know they are going to sleep.

but for now its just slowing letting everyone adjust...
they moved from oregon maybe a month ago
they have had mom home full time since birth but now she is working full time
they don't have their grandparents around all the time like they did
they have a new person in their lives a lot of the time
they no longer get bottles which just happened this week
soon enough they will not be getting binks either...
so for now we deal with a little unpreditable napping because they have a lot of other stuff to adjust to.

overall its really good though.
i enjoy the kids,
the drive is not an issue at all
the hours are good
the days go pretty quick
we have fun laughing and giggling and chasing them around
the parents are cool
no real issues which is amazing!!!!

life is finally starting to come together, gotta figure out how to get some time in with a certain friend and her kids, but it will happen when both of us get more settled with life.

so happy right now with where my life is going!!!

"THe clutch"

wow!!!
went to a race last saturday
went up to willow springs which is a nice track.

but oh boy....
we changed the clutch 3 times in one afternoon.

why would we do this you ask?
well the first time was because the good clutch was slipping
the second time was because brad said the race clutch was fine so taylor wanted to put it back in
the third time was because the race clutch was still slipping( brad was wrong) and so we needed a working clutch so my dad could race the next day

overall though it was a good fun day
i got to turn a wrench on a race car...a lot
i got to hang out with my brother and ryan(who is like a brother)
and they are amazing and very entertaining
got to listen to race cars,
said hi to grace who i haven't seen in a while,
and just enjoyed a nice day at the track,which I haven't done in a long time.

what a day...

I really don't know if today was good
it may have been bad
I can't really decide
but one thing I know for sure, is that today,
I am TIRED!!!!!!!

oddly enough I did sleep last night,
which I haven't any other night the past week.
but the kids were super active today,
one didn't take a morning nap,
and then the last half hour or so, they were whiney.

it was still a good day.
its adorable to watch what an empty room with a giant ball does to toddlers.
they run back and forth just because,
they run back and forth pushing the ball( that is taller than them)
they just stand their and giggle while the other one runs around.
its ADORABLE!!!!
garenteed to make me laugh and smile with them.

we found a new trick today of sitting them on the ball and rolling them around on it.
....that was pretty exciting to them.

then we went outside, and they found a rake and broom.
the broom wasn't as much of a hit,
but Henry pushed the rake around for a good 30 minutes(thats a long time, when youre 18 mo)
they played on the slide,
watched all the airplanes go by,
just ran around,
played with all the little rocks(which are always fun)
and they got chaced by me and each other,
which usually ended in a big flip to my shoulder and a huge smile and laugh from them.

so maybe it wasn't a bad day...
just a very busy one...
so maybe I should be taking a nap
they get to, i should to...
but I won't.
I will sit here and write this instead.

Easter

well, its my least favorite holiday of the year
and we know I don't really like any of them.

but this year I got to organize the easter egg hunt at church...
that gave me something to be excited about.

I had 184 eggs to fill with whatever I wanted.
I wanted to avoid candy but some of it was given to us so I kinda had to use it.

So I went online to find little party favors and found some awesome stuff at party city.
I went to party city only to be slightly disappointed that they didn't have as much there as online.
but we did find some great stuff like bubbles and bouncy balls to put in the eggs.

I was very happy with how we filled them
I think all the kids got lots of great stuff.

then sunday morning it was off to church
in the middle of the service my mom and I left to go hide the eggs outside
so they were ready when the kids came out.

We hid them in bushes and trees and some just in the grass for the little ones.
(and yes one way up in a tree so the kid had to climb to get it)
I was not responsible for that, the pastor was.

The kids had a ton of fun finding the eggs and seemed happy with what was inside.

after church it was home so the whole family could come over for brunch.
they came, they ate, we watched lucas a bit, then it was over.

it was a pretty simple little day. and that was perfectly alright with me.

now what?

well, i finally did it
I got a job...

but now what?

what do i do with all my free time during naps?
what do i do with my day off on friday?
what do i do on the weekends?
what do i do with the money?
what do i do after work?

i have all this time it seems, which seems weird considering i am finally working like i want to.

I want a second job?
i am crazy i know but i do.
something a few nights a week and maybe one weekend a month or so.

I am going to save as much money as possible,
but that may be a little hard
because....
i need to catch up with movies
i NEED(ya right) to buy some new tools
I would like to do some fun things with friends and someone special
I should do a few fix it things to my car.

I spend lots of time playing with these 2 adorable little ones,
and im sure i will continue to spend time playing with lucas and 2 of my other favorite kids ever!!!

but what am i supposed to do during naps?
blogs?
facebook?
email?
homework?
I can do all of that and still have 45 minutes left and a whole second nap?

i want to look for houses but ive got 2 agents sending me listings so its just a matter of time until I find that perfect house for me.

so give me ideas of what i should do with my free time?
travel friendly crafts?
blogs to read?
books to read? ( i hate reading)
other random things to do.....


This week has been crazy. but i still think that as the week draws to a close on the final day at work that I have really found a great fit with this family and that just makes everything else okay.
