"Im Excited"

those are the words I heard all day when I asked how she was doing.
it was a very special day for my and Rylan,
we got to go to disneyland (Mickey's house) just the two of us.
It was her first day away from mom on an adventure like this and I loved that I got to be the one who took her.
I have been with her to disneyland before but not just us.
it was fun, we talked in the car all the way there, we had snacks waiting for the tram to get there, we rode on the tram and then....when we finally got inside we got to drive cars!!!
which I got to take her on the first time she rod it and it was so much fun, but this was fun too...
and even better this time I had my camera, she wouldn't look at the guy to let him take a picture of us but while she was driving I got a few...
she gets so excited driving by herself I love it....
and here is one of the two of us....

after she got to drive a car we went and rode on the carosel and then we rode the catapillers and then the circus train which was all very fun....

she was tired and hungry on the long drive home but she was soo good all day and we had a lot of fun!!!!!

"its official"

well its sort of official.
I am done with community college classes.
I have my AA degree in early childhood education.
My histroy class is DONE!!!

now technically I have not received confirmation from saddleback about the approval for my degree, but when I met with the counselor she said I had everything done. and saddleback said it could take until September for them to review my petition and let me know officially.
so because of that we are just going to say that I have finished!!!! and officially have one piece of paper.
it makes me happy to not have to deal with that any more. now just about a year at ashford and I will have the 4 year degree in 6 years...so im a little slow...oh well, at least it happened.

my first class at ashford is over next week and it has gone very well. I have gotten 100% on everything except one quiz which was my own fault for rushing. but its great, love the set up, teachers are helpful, advisors are helpful and my they love to send emails and make phone calls.
its great...now just waiting for them to get all my transcripts so I know for sure what classes i still need.

2 months

so its been 2 months since i started watching these two munchkins 4 days a week..
Its been a really fun 2 months.
the kids are cute and for the most part very fun.
we go to the park just about every day.
each day they each get to watch one show ( they watch one show at different times)
abbie still takes 2 naps a day, but henry 99% of the time only takes one,
which I am okay wtih because if he takes the morning nap he is cranky all day and is HARD to get down in the afternoon.
We have recently, bought smoe chalk and Henry loves it. he will draw on the cement for a long time. he ends up covered in chalk every time we play.
Abbie doesn't quite get the concept of drawing but she enjoys taking ALL the pieces in and out of the little bucket they came in.
Meals times have been an adventure lately because Henry seems against eating just about anything other than fruit. The parents say he does it for them to so its not just me, but the kids has to eat.
Play time inside is fun, we play with their shape sorter and the ride on cars have made their way in the house so they love riding them around.
It seems that the running around the island in the kitchen is gone for now but thats alright.
we go to the park almost daily and they both seem very happy going up the stairs down the slide over and over again( which is good, they tire themselves out). THey also love walking up and down the grass hill and playing on the baseball diamond that is there as well.
Usually Henry doesn't take the morning nap so that is when he watches is one show a day and then him and I have some one on one play time which is nice. In the afternoon Henry generally sleeps until at least 5 so when Abbie wakes up around 4 we go and she gets to watch a show while she wakes up compeltely. And then we usually end up singing some songs and she loves it if she can make her feet clap together.
it has been a really fun two months and this month they have both gotten a lot more words:
Henry: up, ball, truck, cracker, and he has learned: bye, hi, phone, up-oh, woah, ruff ruff, quack quack, duck, slide, swing, chalk, bunny, book, berry, and see you later.
Abbie: has learned quack quack, ruff ruff, bye bye( but doesn't get when to use it), dirt, berry...thats all i remember at the moment.
anyway..

I still love the job. kids and parents are still cool. excited to continue.

houses

so I am on a house hunt...
I don't really know what I am looking for because this is an investment not a dream home.
but so far I have been inside 3 homes
well one of them was really bad, needed a lot of work and smelled aweful and it had a tini tiny backyard which I just don't think I will ever be okay with
then the next one was okay, needs some love but could be really nice I think.but the yard is a bit smaller than I would like.
but the third one...well i fell in love with the backyard. the house is nice to. i mean it may not be perfect but I think its really nice, the only problem...it is already pending sale...or so some people think or who really knows because every website and every person you talk to has a different story...
now i will say there are a few down sides....
there are only 2 bedrooms which is not as good for resale value, the driveway is only wide enough for one car...long enough for two but the whole tandom parknig thing annoys me because I have been spoiled not having to deal with it. then i thought the living and dining rooms were a fine size but when my dad saw it he said that the living room was small which now concerns me slightly. also, the dirveway is not very flat so working on a car in the drive way may not be the easiest tihng...but im telling you the house is adorable...it has a good size backyard with awesome trees...a cement wall for kicking a soccer ball... plenty of room to run with kids and play fetch with a dog, a nice view over some just open space which is nice...the front has an adorable patio/porch which i can totally see sitting on a swing and watching the sunset...the inside of the house is nice, not necessarily all brand new and perfect but nice and totally liveable.
I really like the house a lot....just wish there was more i could find out about what was really going on...i have been told that if the pending sale falls through i will be the first to know and one website says it is going to auction next week and my parents have already agreed to go to that and see if it is actually being auctioned off because if it is that would just be amazing...a really good price and a really quick "Escrow" because i would only have to wait for the bank to sign papers not the normal like apparent 60 day crap that the other houses would be....but at the same time it is not likely any of that will happen seeing as how most people say the sale is pending and has been since december so i just don't know what to do...
waiting is really all i can do and of course hope that my car lasts long enough to not have to make the in its opinion long drive 4 days a week and seemingly more lately because of more work and other fun things going on.
anyway...those are my thoughts on houses for now...but it will be pretty cool to own my own home when im 22 or even 23 if it has to take that long.

pit crew

so last weekend I went up to buttonwillow on friday and saturday
Friday it was basically just me and my dad,
Taylor was there but he was actually working so I kinda had to do the work.
I would time my dad and do the stuff that I knew how that needed to be done before each session,
and then after each session I would check with my dad of what wasn't "perfect" and then go to taylor and he would tell me what to fix.
It was really fun.
I will say it was a bit rushed and that wasn't so fun, because I enjoy turning a wrench, not rushing when doing it.
but it was really fun.
got to spend some time talking to taylor which is rare these days, got to listen to race cars, work on race cars, and even drive a truck.

it was a great 2 days!!
